A Bruno Brooks-esque look for Umberto on his sleeve there.
I will normally vote for Gloria in whatever form it crosses my path but this Me’Shell NdegeoCello track is just too good.

Wanted to put some (I’m 96% sure) previously unpolled, personally favoured, acts into the mix. Then realised my selection possessed a voyeuristic, unapologetically horny, wry, arguably lonely but ultimately exultant love affair narrative. Imagine my surprise! Love all these tracks so setting myself for a Sophie’s choice, but ultimately went with Me’Shell’s unforgiving bass.

We have not polled Me’Shell (unless as playing bass where a band or another performer is the name on the marquee). Tom has provided an extraordinary spreadsheet of what we’ve polled, which is up-to-date through the Soundtracks poll.

Three really good tracks here, but Owen’s really drew me in and cast a spell. Commenting mainly though to say I’m also getting the voting options displayed to me in current 1st to 4th order, as mentioned by someone else on Twitter. Great for tactical voting but probably not what you want. It’s all going much faster and smoother today, however.

Yeah, that ordering effect isn’t ideal. There seem to be several options though so in the next batch I do I will experiment. None of them are “show the options in the order you entered them”…

Oh yes I’ve read about him for a decade at least but I’ve just never paid attention! Tremendous learned (and probably unfair) aversion to the vague nexus of Arcade Fire/Polaris Prize. The joy of these polls is that I finally have to sit and listen to stuff that I’ve studiously ignored and take it on its own merits.
I don’t dislike it but also voted for Bobby!
