Golden Beat for Dummy. Freezepop would be joining them if I didn’t have a nagging feeling that I’d heard “Duct Tape My Heart” before. They can have a vote instead.

I quite enjoyed Penelope Isles, but it sort of gave me flashbacks to the last few times I’ve tried to go to a record shop and been confronted by rows of Vinyl records with no real info on them other than vaguely abstruse covers.
Dummy, were okay, felt the organ was a little instructive and they have shaved 30 seconds off the song. Ditch the organ would be my advice.
I know Freezepop and enjoy their deadpan robotic love songs

Already knew the MDB; it’s fine. We’ve had a Penelope Isles song before in a poll, right? I liked that one and this one’s good too. But it was hard to see past Freezepop here, and now of course I’m regretting my vote.

Felt like MDB were streets ahead here – big apologies to its nominator but Freezepop’s twee romance is the track I’m currently least looking forward to hearing again in R1…
