This curated group comes from Mitchell S who writes The Run Out Grooves, a newsletter about the closing tracks of LPs. That is not the theme of this group, which is an all-2010s transmission from a parallel poll universe where we did the 5 Letter Words Wordle Cup.

I liked Laura, but took me 4 stop/starts to finish the song, including a quick game of garden cricket. I liked Savages the best here I think, a bit more gritty, and sinister

It’s the world cup of “you know, I actually only need one album by them” bands! The Beach House album is better but the St. Vincent song is an all-timer.

Hah, another group where I have to confront how jaded working at the indie rock coalface had made me by 2010 or so – I hated Beach House and cannot for the life of me work out why now (something something retro something – I dunno, they’re fine!). “Zebra” is the best song here I reckon, especially as it seems to be about actual zebras in some way.

I like this Beach House album quite a lot. That being said, I have seen upwards of about 300 different acts live, and I saw Beach House on this tour and it was a top three most boring concert I’ve ever been to, maybe #1.

I’ve actually found found a St Vincent song I really like (as opposed to kinda like)! But then Zebra rushes in at the last to pip it to the post anyway!

I switched the B4L photo for the LP cos I liked how much of an arty B+W vibe there was with the other sleeves! Hopefully the mild nudity won’t upset any bots.

All great songs, I’ve gone with ‘Zebra’ – even though it’s not my favourite on Teen Dream it’s still pretty enough to beat the rest here.

This group is impossible. There’s something about Beach House that has never clicked for me but could vote for any of the others depending on mood and which order I hear them in. It’s only day 2 and this poll keeps getting better.

Bat for Lashes and Savages both with the type of ballad I love, but I adore the latter a bit more.
I really dislike Beach House’s music and to make things worse I always mix them up with the glamrock revivalists whose name also starts with Beach, but I somehow can’t keep the second word in my head.

I was torn between Zebra and Cruel myself. I don’t quite enjoy Adore as much as the first album.
Strange Mercy seems to be where St. Vincent found her stride and voice. So happy to see that go through.
I mainlined the first Bat For Lashes in 2006 but I’d put Laura behind Daniel in terms of follow ups.
Went with Zebra as along with Norway I think it is a high watermark for them.
